Chrütli hike "Species-rich alpine flora high above the Marmorera reservoir"

This day hike offers a great abundance of alpine and medicinal plants, as well as the permanent view to the Marmorera reservoir.

With the post bus we drive to the Marmorera dam (1684 m). After an 11/2-hour ascent to Alp Pra Miez (1912 m) we admire numerous alpine plants and culinary herbs. On this high-altitude path above the Marmorera reservoir we reach the Alp Starschagns, where we enjoy the lunch break and the great Mittelbündner 3000m mountains. Freshly strengthened we admire some rare alpine plants, the Alpine Akelei, the Turk's League and numerous orchids. For the personal herbal brandy, we dig up some roots of the masterwort plant.
Via Alp la Motta we reach Bivio around 15:00. The Postbus takes us back to Savognin around 16:00.
