What could be nicer than refreshing yourself in cool water on a hot summer day ? Come to the Lai Barnagn swimming lake! Here you will find relaxation and fun.

After a hike, you can cool down and end the day with a nice barbecue. Children can not only swim, but also discover our bathing and sports paradise, while the parents relax on the sunbathing lawn and always have the little ones in sight.

At the selfservice restaurant stand up paddles, rowing boats or pedalos can be rented. Thirsty, hungry or in the mood for a delicious ice cream? Did mum forget the swimming aid or dad the sunscreen? No problem. At the kiosk by the bathing lake you can get everything you need for an unforgettable day at Lai Barnagn.

Food & Beverage Kiosk Lai Barnagn

Until 11th May the Kiosk at Lai Barnagn is closed Mon/Tue. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until October 31, 2024. In the high season from June 29st to August 18th 2024 open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m

18-Hole. Minigolf

Children can get golf clubs and balls for CHF 4 (with guest card CHF 2) and adults for CHF 7 (with guest card CHF 4) at the kiosk.

Sand between your toes. Beachvolleyball

The lake complex offers 2 beach volleyball courts that can be used freely. Balls can be borrowed from the kiosk for a deposit.

Water temperatures

The bathing lake Lai Barnagn warms up faster than other bodies of water and therefore offers pleasant water temperatures already at the beginning of summer.

Spielplätze am Badesee

Der Badesee und das Areal rund herum ist für Kinder ein Spielparadies. Neben dem Kioskgebäude wartet ein Spielplatz mit vielen neuen Elementen wie Rutschbahn, Schaukel, Karussel und Wippe. Der Sandspielplatz lockt mit einem grossen Haufen Sand und der Wasserspielplatz mit verschiedenen Staumöglichkeiten und einem Floss im Nicht-Schwimmerbereich. Für grössere Kinder und Erwachsene ist im hinteren Bereich des Sees eine Slackline gespannt. Das Floss in der Mitte des Sees lädt zur Verschnaufpause ein.

Events. Openair cinema Savognin

In the summer season, the Savognin openair cinema takes place at the bathing lake. The uncomplicated event offers cinema atmosphere in a natural surrounding.

Sightseeing-Tour Pinocchio-Express

In the high season, the Pinocchio Express takes you on a ride through Savognin. A highlight especially for kids. Every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Stop behind the kiosk building.

Without obstacles. Barrier-free

The bathing lake area has barrier-free paths and toilets. If you would like to explore the area a little further, you can take the Procap-certified barrier-free Julia riverside walk.

Water values

Once a year, the Graubünden Office for Food Safety and Animal Health takes a water sample from the Lai Barnagn bathing lake and examines it for harmful germs. The chemical composition of the lake water is also analyzed.

At the time of sampling, the lake water met the requirements for quality class A bathing water.

How was the lake created?

In summer a bathing lake. In winter a large parking lot for the mountain railways. This dual use of the Lai Barnagn is unique. But how did this brilliant idea come about?
