It asks what drives us to ascension and what forms of transformation arise at the moment of collapse. The piece reveals itself as a rite of passage in which rise and fall open up new forms of being. On stage, an international dance ensemble consisting of Izzac Carroll, Romane Ruggiero, Julien Guibourg and David Sione combines precise technique, powerful physicality and expressive presence.
In her first work for Origen, choreographer Liliana Barros explores ascent as a threshold - that charged space in which striving meets devotion.
