Vom Rechenmachen. Neuer Parc Ela-Partnerbetrieb

What moves Parc Ela? As part of the monthly lecture series "Parc Ela an muvimaint", this time the focus is on a very special place: The Rechenmacherhaus in Stierva, also known as Tgesa Rasteler. The historic home of the rake maker and folk chronicler Tona Candreia Friberg will not only be the venue for the next lecture - it will also be awarded as a new partner company of Parc Ela.

Hans Friberg, nephew of the last arithmetic maker Tona Candreia, will dedicate his lecture to the traditional craft of arithmetic making and life in the Graubünden mountain villages in the 20th century using the moving family history and historical documents collected in the arithmetic maker's house.

The lecture shows how craftsmanship, regional identity and cultural heritage come together and how such places help to keep history alive.
