The Alpine road to Plang la Curvanera is closed until further notice due to the risk of rockfalls. A diversion is in place for agricultural vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
The village of Riom is located on the eastern slope of Piz Toissa high, above the valley floor with the Gelgia. It stands out from the surrounding villages by a striking castle. The villagescape of Riom has been designated as a "townscape of national importance".

The ruins of Marmels Castle lie under an overhanging rocky outcrop above the Marmoreras reservoir. Thanks to this location, a large part of the castle was always protected from the weather. As a result, the Archaeological Service made rare medieval finds.
