The long hike begins at the beautifully situated Alp Flix, passes by Mongolian yurts and takes a varied mountain trail to Alp d’Err, home to many marmots. On the Ela Pass, you’re surrounded by magnificent scenery with countless mountain peaks. The hike ends at the Chamonas d’Ela SAC hut.

Description

The San Roc chapel is just as much a part of the former Walser settlement of Flix as sheep's cheese, moorland lakes and species-rich hay meadows. Former manganese mining area at Parsettens. The meringue on Alp d'Err sets you up for the climb to «Laiets» (lakes) at Pass d'Ela.

The Walserweg Graubünden with 23 stages was initiated by the geographer and author Irene Schuler and implemented together with the culture and language organization of the Walser Association Graubünden (Switzerland).
