Description

A place to stay and forget: Radon's starting point - reachable by car, bike and hiking bus or in 1.5 hours on foot from Somtgant - is already in beautiful scenery surrounded by an imposing mountain world. From there we continue along a wide path up to Alp Schmorras. On the way you can hear the marmots sounding the alarm, and if you look closely, you can even observe them. On the same way we go back to Radons.

Along the way, marmots can be seen lounging and playing.

Ausrüstung

Good hiking boots and practical outdoor clothing are recommended.

Directions

Take the Savognin cable cars to Somtgang and walk on a beautiful panoramic path to Radons or drive by car via Cunter - Riom - Parsonz (solve ticket in Parsonz) and Tigignas to Radons. From Radons, the path through the Val Schmorras towards Pass da Schmorras is well described.

Public Transport

Radons can be reached on Thursdays from the end of June to mid-October with the bike and hiking bus. The bus must be reserved at the tourist office in Savognin until the evening before. Phone +41 81 659 16 16.

Otherwise, there is the possibility to take the Savognin mountain railways to Somtgant and from there to walk comfortably on a beautiful panoramic path in 1.5 hours to Radons.

Anreise Information

From the motorway, take the Thusis-Süd exit and continue via Tiefencastel to Savognin and down there to the valley station of the Savognin cable cars. Or turn in Cunter towards Riom-Parsonz-Tigignas and continue towards Radons.

When using the bike & hiking bus at the valley station of the Savognin mountain railways (chargeable) or directly in Radons (attention: operate ticket machine in Parsonz).
