Description

The Veia digl Pader starts in Stierva at the village square. The first few minutes are on the side road towards Mon, after a short time the hiking trail leads via Plangs to Mon. Now follow the signs to Del. Past the church in Del, the path runs over meadows to Pulens. Through the village of Salouf, past the wooden statue of Father Lozza, the trail leads to Motta da Parpi and on to Riom. From Riom it goes on forest roads and along the Julia to Savognin.

Igl poet Pader Alexander Lozza (1880-1953)

The poet was born in Marmorera and was a parish priest in Salouf. In his office as confessor in the pilgrimage site of Ziteil, he gained insights into the human needs of souls. He recorded many events in the valley in his poems. He wrote about bickering and neighbors, about the approaching car and gave a hymn of praise to the Rhaeto-Romanic language and the mountains.
