Description

This exciting round trip starts from Savognin and leads to Lai Tigiel to the Motta d'Err. Via Penza it goes back to Savognin. The detour to Plang la Curvanera is necessary when using the bike and hiking bus, which we recommend in the summer months. This will take you comfortably to Plang la Curvanera and Penza or back to Savognin. The tour can be completed in both directions. Please note the timetable of the bike and hiking bus.

The first kilometers are characterized by trails through cow pastures, which quickly gain altitude until you reach the 2370-meter mark. A long traverse leads to the meadows below the Tinzenhorn and finally to the beautiful turquoise lake Lai Tigiel. From there, the steeper climb to the Pass digls Orgels begins, which rewards you with a breathtaking view over the landscapes of the Val Surses. Then it goes over hill and dale through the Val d'Err and via Penza back to Savognin.

Hints:

You can also take the bike and hiking bus from Penza back to the village. Please note the bike and hiking bus timetable in summer at: www.valsurses.ch/transporte.

There is no catering on the route. Water is only available very late on the route in Castelas.
